Company & Legacy

Started by my brother.
Built to outlive us.

NBF stands for Nothin' But Family. It began as a phrase between brothers, coined by Beanie, and grew into the name he stamped on his music. When he passed on December 1, 2019, at nineteen years old, his brother Mark Rhodes (MTStreets) carried the motto forward and turned it into an independent entertainment company, record label and creative collective.

NBF is not a single person and not a personal brand. MTStreets is the current operator and flagship creative identity. The company is built to grow beyond any one artist: more releases, more artists, more ventures, without ever changing what it means.

Everything we put out has to mean something. Whatever the medium.

The originator

For Beanie.

Before NBF was a label, a studio, a roster or a website, it was a word Beanie used about his people. He put it on his music and on his life. This page is his.

NBF

Beanie was making music under the NBF banner before there was anything else called NBF. He signed his art with it. The logo on the corner of Never Comfortable is the same mark his brother still puts on every release today.

The album lives on Apple Music and streaming so his voice stays where anyone can find it. It is short by design: the songs he had, the way he wanted them, cut hard and left alone. Nothing about it has been rewritten to fit a narrative.

“Nothin' But Family.” He said it first. Everything since is us keeping the promise.
